LG immette sul mercato un cellulare che introduce una novità estetica molto particolare: stiamo parlando del nuovo LG GD900 Crystal, il primo telefono con una tastiera fisica e tattile allo stesso tempo, trasparente.

Il GD900 Crystal è stato presentato in anteprima al Mobile World Congress di Barcellona, e come detto la sua caratteristica principale è la Crystal Touchpad, costruita in vetro temperato.

Dal lato software LG ha introdotto la nuova interfaccia 3D S-Class che permette al telefono di sfruttare in maniera perfetta le capacità dei chip grafici del telefono. E’ presente anche una tecnologia chiamata Gesture Shortcut, che come lascia intuire il nome permette di avere delle scorciatoie per passare da un’applicazione ad un’altra.

Sarà per esempio possibile aprire il browser anche mentre stiamo leggendo una mail, in pratica è una sorta di multi-tasking, più applicazione aperte che girano in background allo stesso momento.

Passando al lato puramente tecnico le specifiche tecniche parlano di display touchscreen capacitivo da 3 pollici, fotocamera da 8 MP, lettore MP3 con Dolby Mobile, memoria interna da 1,5 GB espandibile fino a 32 GB tramite scheda MicroSD, connettività Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0 e supporto alla rete 3G.
