YouTube HTML5 fase beta

YouTube ha avviato la fase beta con il supporto al linguaggio HTML5.

Nell’ultimo periodo stiamo parlando molto di YouTube, segno che Google si sta dando molto da fare per migliorare ancora di più il servizio di video online. L’ultima notizia riguarda la fase beta che YouTube ha avviato, con il supporto al linguaggio HTML5.

HTML5 è il nuovo standard web che dovrebbe diffondersi negli anni a venire, che supporta molte funzioni extra rispetto all’HTML che tutti siamo abituati a conoscere.

Con HTML5 è possibile riprodurre video e audio senza il bisogno di utilizzare alcun codec esterno, quale per esempio il Flash Player che viene usato normalmente per visualizzare i video di YouTube ma su internet in generale.

E’ ovvio che YouTube segua con molta attenzione lo sviluppo di questa nuova tecnologia, che potrebbe snellire le pagine del sito.

Se volete partecipare alla fase beta vi basterà cliccare su questo link e poi selezionare “Passa alla versione HTML5 beta”. Da quel momento visualizzerete i video supportati usando solamente il linguaggio HTML5. Se vorrete tornare indietro, dovrete solamente tornare al link sopra ed uscire dalla fase beta.

Per ora i browser supportati da YouTube HTML5 sono Google Chrome, Safari e Internet Explorer con Chrome Frame. HTML5 su Youtube per ora non supporta video con pubblicità o annotazioni e non permette la visualizzazione a schermo intero.
